What is the Jog-A-Thon?
Jog-A-Thon is a community building, health inspired event. Students run or walk laps around the Fireside field behind the school at the allotted time slot for their class during the school day.
It is also Fireside's major fall fundraiser. It is a raise it (by asking others) or write it (a check) campaign. Funds can be raised based on laps run or a flat donation. This year our goal is $50,000 - this is a third less than in past years. The suggested donation amount per student is $150.
When is the Jog-A-Thon?
September 23, 2022! Students are invited to collect pledges from friends, family members, and neighbors as a way to raise money for Fireside. They will participate in the event during school hours with their class. Family members are welcome to cheer on the runners during their class's designated run time. What is the money used for?
All money raised directly supports learning and funds Fireside's instructional paraeducator hours, TAG, classroom materials, field trips, school garden, newspaper, science fair and much more! Your support is strongly appreciated and important! Please help fund raise or write a check to support our school. Thank you for supporting Fireside!
How do I give?
For cash or check donations, use the envelope sent home. Please return this to your student’s teacher by September 23th!
For online donations, donate via this link. We use PayPal, a well-known and reputable site for online giving. This secure site is available for anyone wishing to put their donation o a credit card or use their personal PayPal account. This is also a good option for those looking to spread out their total donation over 10 months.
What is the Jog-A-Thon Community Celebration?
On Friday, September 30, 2022, 5-7pm the PTO and school staff will host the Jog-a-thon Community Celebration.
At this fun, free event, the PTO will reveal the results of the Jog-A-Thon fundraising campaign. It's also a fun opportunity for families to come together at the beginning of the year to socialize and re-connect.
New this year! We will be taking pre-orders for food before the celebration. Pre-ordered dinner options are guaranteed! Pre-orders will be available at a table throughout the Jog-A-Thon on September 23 and will continue September 26 - 28 before and after school at a table in front of school. Below are some of the delicious options that will be available:
Treat yourself to a delicious burger/cheeseburger grilled fresh right on location all while supporting our school. 75% of all proceeds will go to our school! Your meal comes complete with a burger, chips and soft drink to enjoy for only $7.
Rosati's Chicago Pizza
Rosati's Chicago Pizza will be serving up Gluten Free and regular pizzas. 30% of all proceeds will go to our school! (A limit of 50 pizzas for our entire school, so once sold, another option will be needed).
