Fireside PTO "Top 5"

On top of all the schedules and new things happening in the classroom, all the school + PTO + events + everything can get overwhelming. And even for those that have been part of the Fireside family for a while, it’s definitely not easy to juggle it all.

In order to help get new families started (and remind those who aren't new!), we've compiled the following "Fireside Top 5" of highlights:

#1: LEARN WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION

There are 3 main sources of information you can count on as a parent:

  • The Fireside Elementary website is the main site for school and the source of all school-driven communication. Go to this site to report student absences, view the calendar, and learn about staff & faculty.

  • This PTO website is where parents can find information about our Parent-Teacher Organization's fundraising activities, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to get involved.

  • The Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) main website is the place to find district-wide information, school closure announcements,  and other district communication.

#2: OPT IN TO COMMUNICATIONS & THE DIRECTORY

Make sure you've opted in to receive emails from Fireside and updated your family information in the directory. These are the best ways to ensure you're getting the most up-to-date information that the school and the PTO are sending out!

#3: 'LIKE' OUR FACEBOOK PAGE

Follow Fireside Elementary PTO on Facebook! On Facebook we share updates, event reminders and fun information during the school year to keep parents informed. Check us out for some Fireside Pride fun.

#4: FIND VOLUNTEER OPTIONS VIA HELP AT SCHOOL

New for the 2018-19 school year is an online tool named Help At School. This platform helps to facilitate volunteer sign ups and will be our volunteering work horse. Go to HelpAtSchool.org and find volunteer opportunities that work for you and your family.  

Shopping Carts

#5: LOAD UP A KING SOOPERS OR SAFEWAY CARD

We have a few simple ways you can earn money for the school while carrying on with your normal life. Like… Grocery Shopping!  5% of your purchases at King Soopers or Safeway can go straight back to the Fireside PTO. Find out more here.  DON’T skip this - the grocery cards are one of our largest income makers and they are at no extra cost to you.
